Palakkad: Silver Hills Public School, Kozhikode, retained the overall championship title at the 26th State CBSE School Kalolsavam, held at Menon Para Ahalya Public School campus in Palakkad.
The school scored 318 points to emerge victorious, maintaining its position as the reigning champion. Devagiri CMI School, Kozhikode, secured the second spot with 200 points, while Thrissur Devamatha CMI School finished third with 158 points.
Over 1,200 schools from around 30 Sahodaya school complexes across Kerala participated in the three-day event. Students from classes 3 to 12 competed in 149 items across four categories at 35 venues.
The judges praised the outstanding performances of Silver Hills Public School's students, who represented the school in various categories.
According to Rev. Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, Principal of Silver Hills Public School, meticulous planning and rigorous practice enabled the students to excel at the state level.
"This is the eighth consecutive year that Silver Hills Public School has excelled at the State School Kalolsavam. Despite a significant increase in participants, our students successfully defended their title, which is a remarkable achievement," Fr. Mathew said.
The school's Fine Arts Committee, sub-committees, staff, students, and parents received appreciation for their efforts.
