A Jubilant Welcome to a New Academic Year
Pravesanotsav 2024, the grand welcome program for the new academic year, was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at our school on three days 3^rd, 5^th and 10^th of June 2024. The three-phased event reflected the excitement and eagerness of both students and staff as they returned to campus after the midsummer holidays.
On 3 June, the formal function began with a prayer dedicated to the teacher or guru, and the importance of learning. Mr. Rajesh K, District Judge, Municipal and Sessions Court, Kozhikode, graced the occasion with his presence. Sharing his own inspiring journey from a young lawyer aspiring to become a judicial officer, Mr. Rajesh emphasized the power of determination and diligence. He encouraged students to set ambitious goals and relentlessly pursue them.
Presiding over the meeting was Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills Institutions. Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, the Principal, in his welcome address, elaborated on the new initiatives for the year, including the 'Value of the Month' program and the introduction of cyclic tests.' The event featured speeches by Mr. Suresh Kumar, President of the PTA, Mr. KC Shaijal, Staff Secretary, and by student representatives Ms. Fathima Wardha and Naina S. Nair. The students who had achieved national and international accolades in basketball and roller skating were honoured on the occasion.
A series of vibrant cultural performances enthralled the audience. These performances, choreographed by faculty members Ms. Sreeja and Ms. Kavita Satish, were further enhanced by the newly installed audio-visual system in the auditorium managed efficiently by Mr. Rejeesh K and supported by Mr. Athul, Mr Vijith and Mr. Jineesh.

On 5 June, Pravesanolsav was held to welcome all our new kindergarten students. The programme began with a prayer, followed by a colourful rangapooja. Ms. Neetu M, faculty welcomed the gathering.
Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager and Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, Principal addressed the gathering sharing their enthusiasm for the new year. The auspicious lighting of the lamp was performed by chief guests Mr. Vijesh K V and Ms. Kabani H, esteemed theatre artists. Ms. Kabani H delivered the inaugural address, filled with encouraging words for the new students.


Dr. Jeslin V James, president of the KG PTA, and Ms. Usha Haridas, the KG Coordinator, offered felicitations. Student Noopura Vivek, shared a heart-warming reflection on the joy of learning and making new friends.
The Pravesanotsav song was sung with gusto, and was followed by two delightful dances choreographed by Ms. Kavitha Satish Kumar and Ms. Sreeja K.  and a captivating theatre performance. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Archna K Sampat, KG Coordinator & Staff Secretary.
On 10 June, Pravesanotsav was conducted for the Plus One students. Dr Varsha Vidyadharan, delivered a talk on the subject Adolescent Algorithms.
